Burned out

by Stanley, June 9, 2008

My brain is literally fried. I’ve been working on a tight schedule for the past 3 months. An IT project way past deadline, with system requirements and design changing at the very last minute is a developer’s nightmare. Imagine getting not more than 4 hours of sleep every weekday, slumped over your workstation slugging it out. Powered by coffee and the need to make ends meet. Eyes staring at the LCD display but mind wandering off to some Caribbean cruises and exotic island getaway. If this is life for the rest of my remaining years, I’d be burned out before I’m 35. Oh gawd, I need some time away. Some time to relax, destress and lots and lots of sleep.
