• Another Croc wearing kid loses toes
by Stanley, June 8, 2008
Talk about being put on the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Croc shoes, or simply known as Crocs, is famed for it’s super soft and grippy compound material. Pretty expensive ugly sandals if you ask me, I’m cheap. And every year, we hear about croc-wearing little kids getting their foot stuck in escalators resulting in really painful and horrifying injuries. Kid injuries are really a sad thing to read about, let alone their parents’ agony.
That also means Crocs get sued several times a year for what essentially is public’s ignorance on safety measures when using escalators. To put the blame squarely at Crocs is too unfair. Imagine if untied shoe laces get caught, blame the shoe company?
Parents should know the dangers when children uses the escalator. They should teach their children to not kid around and risk injuring themselves. Warn kids to mind their steps, stand in the middle avoid the edge and lift their feet.

When the thongs plastic sandals first came out a long time ago, the same thing happened with the front end and sometimes toes too getting caught in an escalator or a child tripping by not walking with the entire foot and putting front end down first.
For Crocs to be sued over these escalator incidences are absolutely ridiculous. Ever since the gal sued McDonald’s over a hot cup of coffee that she spilled, people look for things to sue about.
I have 5 pair of Crocs with only 3 styles and prefer wearing them to shoes, sandals, etc. I’m watching for the new styles all the time. They’re great!
