• Babies are expensive

It’s scary how family expenses could grow when one welcomes a baby into the family. I’m not someone who keep tabs on every thing we buy in our household but lately the cost of living has spiked. Out of curiosity, I started to keep tabs on baby stuff - organic food, baby toiletries, medical expenses, baby clothes, disposable diapers, infant formula and many smaller stuff. After some number crunching, it is shocking that money spent monthly on baby stuff amounts to the same of how much we spend on food every month. It’s obvious we had to find ways to cut back on baby expenses but that’s not going to be easy. A baby is a very expensive addition to the family financially speaking. Just look at how much a tin of infant formula costs on average and you’ll get the picture.
