Baby walks. Constant adult supervision requires.

by Stanley, October 4, 2008

Having a baby who recently learned how to walk means you’ve gotta baby-proof your house as much as possible. She’s like a walking hazard capable of wreaking havoc to anything she could get hands on. And she’s tall enough to be able to open drawers, pull table cloths and reach out to anything placed near the edge of the table. She loves pulling wires and cables too. Last night I had a scare when grabbed a cable behind my desk and pulled it until my table lamp gets dragged off the table top. It fell just inches away from her where she’s standing luckily. I dare not imagine if it fell on her and hurt her. Incidents like these are a reminder that an out of sight baby is an out of mind trouble just waiting to happen. One of the joys of parenting I guess. Sigh.
