• From RM2.70 to RM2.30 still wishing for more reductions
by Stanley, October 14, 2008
Price of petrol in Malaysia drops another 15 cents per litre. Good thing I didn’t fill up my tank yesterday or else I’d be gutted when I tune in to the evening news. So our petrol prices have fallen from a peak of RM2.70 to RM2.30 factoring in the previous drops. That’s 40 cents in total, not too bad. Not spectacular either for someone who uses close to RM300 of petrol monthly. And that’s not even driving a 2.0cc family sedan. I drive a 1.5cc Toyota VIOS, a compact family sedan which many regards as a fairly fuel efficient vehicle. I doubt it. Let’s cross our fingers and hope for lower global oil prices so that our government are forced to reduce petrol prices even further. Amen.
