• Internet drops, dialer crashes

I spent an entire night trying to fix my mom-in-law’s PC yesterday to no avail. Here’s the problem. She has been experiencing internet connectivity disconnection very frequently for the past few weeks. Now here’s the strange part. Once the connectivity is stuck, the dialup window hangs so there’s no way of redialing for reconnection. The only option now is to reboot the PC altogether. Have you ever encountered this problem before? I’ve never experienced something like that. I’ve tried reformatting Windows and replacing the network adaptor but still the problem remains. It’s one of those elusive problems that isn’t worth the time and effort fixing it. Annoying.
