• My LCD monitor may be dying

I’m blogging from my wife’s ThinkPad now because lately there’s something weird going on with my LCD monitor. Whenever I switch on my PC, sometimes my LCD monitor fails to power up. Everything else is fine. It’s especially annoying when I’m in a rush and need to get a few things done on the PC.

The computer technician couldn’t spot where the problem is and suggests I replace the power supply unit or the adaptor. Even then, he’s not too sure about it. So why spend the money fixing it when for a bit more, I could get a new 19″ lcd monitor with widescreen to boot.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from experience, PC stuff have a short lifespan. After a few years of service, they’re usually not worth the effort and money spend for repairing.
