• Najib wants Chinese and Indian votes in Permatang Pauh, fat chance!

UMNO’s latest carrot dangling act is Najib’s promising Permatang Pauh residents funding for vernacular schools and scrap metal licenses for Indians in a bid to win over non-Malay votes. Time and time again, we witness UMNO’s same old trick to bribe voters and insulting our intelligence in one stroke. Don’t they ever learn?

The rakyat has suffered terribly under Barisan Nasional’s rule for the past 50 years. A few millions of dollars reward to voters is a pittance compared to billions of dollars syphoned away by the corrupted regime. Permatang Pauh voters, may I ask you, would you gamble with your children’s future in Malaysia for another 50 years under Barisan Nasional detrimental governance? Would you dare imagine a Malaysia where racial sentiments are rife and races pitted against each other?

If the by-election were to happen in my constituency, UMNO can kiss my vote goodbye no matter how much reward is promised. Why is it the only time an area benefit from infrastructure funding and development is when by-elections happen? Isn’t this a form of vote-buying UMNO is guilty of?
