• Operasi Lalang 2 in motion, UMNO trying to create another May 13

Raja Petra’s arrest this afternoon is already old news. Tan Hoon Cheng, the Sin Chew journalist who reported Ahmad Ismail’s racial slur at Permatang Pauh was arrested by the ISA a few hours ago. While the news of Tan being arrested is still sinking in, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read TERESA KOK of DAP SEPUTEH IS ARRESTED BY THE ISA AS WELL barely an hour ago. The 3rd person to be detained by ISA today.

Smells like Ops Lalang doesn’t it? Bet your bottom dollar it is! The wheels of Ops Lalang II is in motion, guys!

It is more and more likely UMNO is in a state of desperation with them using ISA against the opposition. These arrests - RPK, Tan and Teresa Kok - has not justifiable reason at all. UMNO is obviously trying to harrass the rakyat into taking to the streets, create racial tension and they are going to try very hard indeed.

Arresting Sin Chew’s journalist Tan Hoon Cheng is a complete farce. With Ahmad Ismail already suspended for 3 years (albeit very light punishment), it could only mean what was reported by Tan is 99% substance. No way UMNO can justify detaining her under ISA unless more sinister motive is involved. Recreate a May 13 perhaps?

Everyone with a sane mind is beyond incensed right now but wise enough to remain calm. Don’t play into UNMO’s hands. Racial unrest and tension which could lead to another May 13 is the last thing we want at this critical stage.

I have always questioned why Anwar has set a deadline to topple the government. Wouldn’t it be better to spring the news of MPs hopping over to Pakatan Rakyat in a sudden manner instead? If I’m interpreting events that are unfolding day by day correctly, I guess Anwar’s intention is to force UMNO to reveal its true evil nature before all Malaysians. Only then we would fully appreciate why Malaysia needs Pakatan Rakyat to crush UMNO.
