• Robbery and break-in to my left and to my right

Recent neighbourhood events were blemished by two break-ins, just 2 nights apart from each other. Coincidently, there were no occupants in the houses when the break-ins occur. Which I think is pretty lucky for them, or else someone could’ve got harmed. From what I heard, they left the city and went back to their home towns during the Chinese New Year festive season.

It’s kinda scary to imagine crimes are happening just a few houses away from mine. I’ve also heard countless stories about robberies being committed in broad daylight, never mind if the victims’ homes are occupied. And perhaps most shockingly, houses protected by alarm security systems. You’ve probably got a friend or family who are taking alarm security to the next level - alarm system monitoring. Where local authorities are contacted immediately as soon as a break-in is detected by the alarm system. It might not sound over-the-top now does it.
