• Sept 16 2008 - deadline for Pakatan Rakyat takeover?

I’m not kidding when I say I don’t know what significance September 16 represents for Malaysia; it’s Malaysia Day! I failed history, so sue me.

Why the mention of Sept 16? Anwar said Pakatan Rakyat will become government by Malaysia Day. For the love of god, I really hope what Pakatan Rakyat says is true. Can Sept 16 be the day Pakatan Rakyat takes over as federal government of Malaysia? This is the first time Anwar Ibrahim is giving a date on this bold move. It’s making me excited but it’s the type of excitement shrouded in doubts.

Anwar himself knows by putting a deadline means sacrificing his credibility if it can’t be achieved. Don’t fret, Anwar, it’s taking over the government we’re talking about here, ain’t exactly a piece of cake. My own deadline for you? Please, oh please, just do away with Abdullah adminstration by the end of the year, no later than that I hope. Again, I’m not an Anwar fanboy but anyone is better than Abdullah and UMNO. Just do it lah!
