The hallway light broke again, twice in a row, less than a year of use

by admin, February 20, 2008

Damn it! The hallway’s ceiling mounted light is spoilt again. It’s been a streak of bad luck having had two lamps breaking down one after another. And the worst part is, they’ve only been in used for less than a year.

My, things are getting really unreliable these days aren’ they. The ceiling light in my parent’s house, a Seagull lighting product, is more than 15 years old and it’s still working fine. All it needed was a change of light bulbs a few years apart.

Once upon a time, stuff used to be made in US, England or somewhere in Europe. Workmanship, durability and reliability used to be a manufacturer’s objectives. What happened to the good old days!
