Sferra baby linens

by Stanley, January 25, 2009

Aunty Lynette came home for CNY’s reunion and we met with her last night. We bought our baby girl a new crib last week and her gift, a set of Sferra baby linens, was really timely. This collection of baby basics include pillow shams, poly-filled quilt, and crib bumper featuring a rainbow of hand-embroidered butterflies and other winged creatures across an airy backdrop. The material has 210 thread count and it is made from Egyption cotton. It feels really comfortable and cool. We love it.

Small town businesses

January 25, 2009
My quiet hometown has seen quite a lot of urban development in the past few years. New shops selling products, services and particularly diners mushroomed every where. Chain boutiques, chain cafes, beauty franchises, auto parts franchises and more. However, the thing with small town businesses is that the lack of competition is one compelling reason [...]

Water cut on the morning of Chinese New Year eve

January 24, 2009

In fact, by the end of the every year, I have stacks of ill-fitting clothes in the wardrobe reminding [...]

json_encode and json_decode that works in PHP4 and PHP5

January 15, 2009
Last night, I spent 2 hours overhauling a snippet of code in my WordPress plugin. My plugin uses PHP5’s json_encode and json_decode functions but a lot of users have been complaining of problems. The biggest cause is the servers their on are using PHP4 instead of the latest PHP5 installation. Some users managed to workaround [...]

Better brakes

January 13, 2009
I’m not exactly a fan of after market car acccessories or performance parts to tune up my car but when it comes to enhancing safety for my family, I’m all ears. The stock disc brakes in my car are hardly anything to shout about. In fact, the size of the brake discs just doesn’t inspire [...]

Love’s Theme by Barry White and The Love Unlimited Orchestra

January 13, 2009
This clip has been sitting in my Youtube favourites for years and I thought I’d share it here. It’s “Love’s Theme” by Barry White and its one of my favourite songs. This song soared up the 70’s chart when disco ruled the music scene. No vocals just an orchestra jamming. The quality is quite bad [...]
