If I’m forced to name one deterrent reason why I avoid our local public swimming pools like a plague, it has got to be the filthy pools due to lack of proper maintenance. One of my friend used to work there as a supervisor in charged of overseeing the cleanliness of the entire facility. He gets headache dealing with lazy staff who deliver half-cooked jobs. Also the local authorities never seem to provide enough pool supplies needed to maintain the entire swimming pool facility. Take a dip into our local pools and see how pathetic the condition of our pools are. I’ve seen cleaner toilets than our pools.
• New addition to my friend’s home theater setup
March 22, 2009My friend who absolutely digs high end audio/visual equipment decided to upgrade his already well-equiped home theater room with home theater chairs. Last I heard, he lavishly spent more than twenty grand upgrading his LCD TV to 52′. • Fluorescent tubes to go
March 22, 2009While shopping for some light fixtures with my wife today, we sort of got into a casual argument about replacing dull and ugly fluorescent light tubes with fancy down lights in our home office area. She’s perfectly fine with the current tubes illuminating our home office confines and see no reason to spend extra to [...]

• First tennis session in six-months
March 22, 2009Today’s tennis session was the first after a six-month long hiatus from the game. It was only an hour of casual hitting. Even so, it felt back breaking literally. Today’s hitting session wasn’t really enjoyable for me. I had trouble finding my form, timing and footing nevermind the strokes. I’m not surprised how badly I [...]

• Photos: Perak Tree of Democracy plaque vandalised again
March 14, 2009The cowards struck again last night. Two days since the plague was first damaged. The words on the plague is no longer visible now. As you can see from the photos below, it is covered with thick black paint/tar like substance. I’ve also attached photos of a letter sent by Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh to Pakatan Rakyat [...]
