One nice house warming party

by Stanley, October 21, 2009

I had the pleasure of attending a friend’s house warming party over the weekend. This is one house warming party I really enjoyed. I don’t get many chances to mingle around in an twelve million ringgit bungalow. The house has a swimming pool which is where the buffet was served and the crowd gathered around. There is also a security booth by the gate and the entire house is guarded round the clock by video surveillance equipment. It’s nice to have a glimpse at how rich people live. The owner, my friend’s dad actually, is a sixty year old businessman who built his small fortune over 3 long decades.

We went to no less than five shops selling utility fittings before she finally decided on a Kohler swan neck kitchen faucet. Kohler faucets are pretty pricey but you [...]

My wife is going into labor soon according to her OB. If nothing happens naturally by Sunday, she is to be admitted on Monday morning for induced labor. I am rushing to clear whatever assignments I have left. And for the next three months, I don’t think I will have the time for bigger assignments. [...]

Copper kitchen sinks

October 1, 2009
My parent’s house will be undergoing minor renovations in the kitchen area. My mom decided to add another kitchen sink outdoor. She does most of her cooking in a shaded wet kitchen, not indoors. So a kitchen sink is really handy for her and her maid. My mom chose a copper sink. When asked why [...]
