• 7th straight Wimbledon finals for Federer

Yup! As I write this, Federer is in the finals of 2009 Wimbledon having beaten Tommy Haas in straight sets. Haas gave Federer a five-set scare in the French Open last month. I suppose he couldn’t reproduce the form here facing Federer on grass. Federer plays his best on grass.

Of course last month’s French Open win is Federer’s best achievement so far. Sealing a career grand slam, equalling Agassi. And taking his 13th grand slam title, equalling Sampras. On Sunday, he will face either Roddick or Murray in the finals, and a win here is also much sought after. If Federer wins this, he will surpass Sampras in most number of grand slam titles won. Therefore this is another history in the making for the tennis world.

I’ll be glued to the TV this sunday to catch the finals match. My fingers will be crossed at all times. Go Federer go!
