• A dull Christmas
by Stanley, December 26, 2009
While most people were out celebrating on Christmas Eve, my wife and I were stuck at home taking care of our kids. Looking back, it’s been the same for the past two years since our daughter was born. Fortunately, my wife and I aren’t the type of people that crave for entertainment or socialising. I mean not to the extent of feeling forced into parenting lifestyle and torturously longing for the carefree and fun lifestyle we once had. Yes it does feel routine, boring and stressful having to wake up everyday facing tons of household chores and parenting responsibilities. Even more so lately since our son was born 2 months ago. By the time most of the daily work is done, the sun has already set and we barely have any energy left to do anything else. I have cut down a lot of my workload due to this as my mind is on the brink of shutdown after the kids are in bed, between 10pm - 12am.
