• AEDs gaining ground in public places
by Stanley, June 3, 2009
Automated External Defibrillators (AED) are used to resuscitate a person who goes into sudden cardiac arrests. Soon, AEDs will find their ways into more public locations like shopping malls, airports and public buildings. Modern AEDs are advanced enough to be easily operated in case of emergency. Most devices are located in heavily populated areas. A person that goes into sudden cardiac arrest requires aid as soon as possible. The chances of resuscitating the victim decreases rapidly every passing minute. Expect to see more public places to install AEDs in the near future.
