• Coffee cup exploded in car

I’ve always been very careful when handling edibles and liquids in my car. So does my wife and kid, or so they promised. Being a coffee junkie, it’s a daily routine where I drive to my favourite coffee shop for a take away cuppa. I have a basket permanently placed on the front passenger car mats and I carefully put my cup of coffee in it. Today, my daughter was in hyperactive mood and when my car was stationary while I hopped out to get buy something for dinner, she crossed over to the front passenger seat. Her foot slipped and stepped right onto my cup of coffee. The cup literally exploded. Her foot is drenched in coffee. My car was a mess. On the way home, the coffee stench - yea, coffee stinks when spilt onto fabrics - was terrible. I left the car doors open to prevent the stench from being trapped. I’ll drive to the cleaners first thing tomorrow and see what can be done.
