My aunt is an agent for an insurance company that specialises in Medicare supplement insurance, or most of you might know it as Medigap. She often lecture us about the importance of getting health and medical insurance. I used to excuse myself from such conversations. Finding all sorts of reasons to cut it short and leave. But two years ago, I called her up to get some quotes on health insurance. She is now my trusted agent. Healthcare is no laughing matter. The cost of healthcare is rising fast. A simple surgery at a private hospital could cost thousands of dollars. Prices of medicine can put a huge dent to your wallet. That is enough to convince me that health and medical insurance is a must for everybody.
