• Kubuntu Linux 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope

I have finally upgraded my workstation from 8.04 to Kubuntu 9.04 yesterday. I’ve been wanting to try KDE 4 for quite some time now. Previous KDE 4.x releases were buggy according to credible sources and that put me off.

Kubuntu 9.04 comes default in KDE 4.2.2 and I’ve updated it to 4.2.4. I did try a distribution upgrade and installed the latest KDE 4.3 for a while but weird things start to happen to my screen. So I had to reinstall Kubuntu all over again. Only this time I’m going as far as KDE 4.2.4.

Guess I’ll wait until Kubuntu releases 9.10 Koala Karmic to try KDE 4.3 and I’ll have to admit, I can’t wait for it. Koala Karmic 9.10 will arrive in October 2009.
