• Luckily I gave Fuji FinePix F100fd a pass
by Stanley, February 8, 2009
Last week while I was in KL, I was really tempted to trade-in my 3-year-old Fuji F11 Zoom for the new Fuji FinePix F100fd. On top of that I had to pay RM999. Any less than that amount, I will have bought it for sure. But alas, it was slightly over my budget.
I’ve been eyeing the F100fd for a while now. Top-of-the-range Fuji FinePix digicams comes with SuperCCD, Fuji’s world class leading CCD technology. SuperCCD is famous for it’s low-light capability. I’ve been using my Fuji FinePix F11 Zoom for years and I love being able to shoot at ISO800. On top of SuperCCD, F100fd also has CCD image stabilising. Pair it up with SuperCCD, the F100fd is one of the best low-light compact cameras around. If not the best.
Anyway, I’m kinda glad I gave the F100fd a miss last week. Fuji just launched a new flagship for it’s compact lineup: Fuji FinePix the f200EXR ! I can’t to for my local camera retailer to get a working demo model to check it out.
