Son of MACC Ahmad Said bin Hamdan guilty of child pornography but escapes prosecution

by Stanley, February 24, 2009

I totally missed this scandal which happened a year ago! Basically, Ahmad Shauqi, the MAS pilot son of our current MACC Chief Dato`Hj. Ahmad Said Bin Hamdan was caught by the Australian authorities with child pornography in his laptop. Ahmad Shauqi was found guilty of importing child pornography and was fined $6000. Pretty lenient if you ask me. Should have jailed the muthafucker. Read here.

Now here’s the kicker. The Malaysian authories should have investigated Ahmad Shauqi’s case but that didn’t happen at all. Can you spell “Selective prosecution” ? Obvious isn’t it? It certainly pays to have your dad heading the anti-corruption department which in turns in-cahoots with the Prime Minister’s department.

When I tuned in to the news last week to hear Ahmad Said Bin Hamdan justifying MACC’s decision to take action against Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim (PKR) alleged misuse of government funds concerning car and cows, only one word flashed through my mind - HYPOCRITE! When you are misusing your power as the chief of anti-corruption commission to get your son out of this serious misconduct!

Dato`Hj. Ahmad Said Bin HamdanPublic comments are flowing in on this posting regarding this matter. Read it here. The title of that particular blog post aptly describe Ahmad Said too: “Father of child pornography”! *LOL*

Needless to say, Abdullah Badawi promised much in reforms. One of them is anti-corruption and the ACA underwent many changes to hoodwink the rakyat that under the new moniker of MACC, will see a more effective way of tackling graft. But as this Malaysian Insider’s article describes it, the MACC is pretty much dead on arrival. That’s so true.

Considering MACC’s light speed prosecution of Khalid Ibrahim over such trivial matters, car and cows, against inaction towards numerous reported corruption cases UMNO is guilty of, I am convinced MACC has not changed at all. It is still the old ACA in new clothing. Subserving the corrupted regime of Barisan Nasional still.

Case closed. I am STILL voting the opposition in the next General Election. It’s beginning to look like a family tradition passed on through generations.
