Everyone seems to be sending me links to Susan Boyle’s Britain’s Got Talent performance. The video clip of her singing has spent one week on Youtube. At this very moment, it’s rolling on at 21 million views and broke the 100K comments mark.

I’ve also read newspaper coverage on her surprise performance. It made me realise how much faster she’s gaining worldwide popularity than the previous ugly duckling Paul Potts. It took Paul Potts’s Youtube clip months to gain 30 millions views compared to over 20 million in a week for Susan.

This further proves that technology and the web is fast becoming the most effective way of spreading fame and popularity. Far more effective than traditional media formats.
