Netbooks

by Stanley, January 8, 2010

I am quite bothered by people arguing that netbooks aren’t powerful enough for their computing needs. The problem is, they include the need to play high definition 1080p videos or multi-task multiple programs into their requirements. I usually say to them, you’d be better off just buying a cheap Intel Dual-Core notebook instead of a netbook then. It’s unfair to diss netbooks for tasks they are designed for. Sure netbooks aren’t powerful to play 1080p videos, but even if it can, what’s the point of watching HD videos in a small 10′ screen and drain all battery juice after just one movie. Netbooks are great value for money and portable productivity tools for the masses who needs general computing on the road. Those qualities alone make netbook already a proven success.
