• No doubt Najib and BN violated Election Offenses Act in Hulu Selangor
by Stanley, April 27, 2010
This I read from Kit Siang’s blog …
Najib publicly declared: “If we win this by-election, you can come to Kuala Lumpur the next day to look for me. I will write a personal letter to approve the money and it will be transferred to the school board’s account. If we lose, don’t have to come.”
The second incident was during his visit to Kampong Hassan where he promised the Chinese-majority voters in the area that the Barisan Nasional government would build 200 low-cost housing for them if the BN candidate wins the by-election.
And Najib have the guts to say he did not bribe or bought votes during Hulu Selangor’s by-election?!
How can Najib expect us to swallow his justification for such blatant display of vote buying? How can this not be vote buying? How can this not violate Election Offenses Act?
To the Chinese in Hulu Selangor, you have my respect. Thanks for showing BN the finger by increasing your votes for the opposition. Immediately, you can see why you shouldn’t vote BN. Look at how PERKASA’s Ibrahim Ali who spoke about retracting all monetary promises made during the by-election to punish the Chinese for being ungrateful to BN. PERKASA should be punished seriously for even saying such things. But that’s something we wouldn’t see in a million years if BN stays in power. If ISA has any relevance at all, it is meant for punishing people like Ibrahim Ali and PERKASA.
On the contrary, to all Indians whose votes made BN the victor in this buy-election, take a step back and see the bigger picture. Don’t succumb to BN’s carrots.
Onto GE13 and march to Putrajaya. Let this battle’s loss be forgotten and lesson learnt. Pakatan Rakyat, you still have my vote.
