UMNO started to attack Lim Guan Eng saying the welfare money given to the poor in Penang is derived from gambling. Thus it is sinful and dirty money. No self respecting Muslims should accept it. UMNO shoot themselves in the foot with this one.

UMNO is so desperate to pick a fight with the current government in Penang, they forgot all about the existence of Genting, Magnum, Toto etc? And what about the recent failed attempt to award a sports gambling license to their cohort, Vincent Tan of Berjaya?

Genting for instance has been paying tax money to the government for decades. If the Muslims in Malaysia are so wary of ‘duit haram’, don’t touch federal money. It beats me how UMNO can be so stupid to go on the offense against CM Lim Guan Eng using this excuse. When three fingers is pointing back at them.

And to the Malays who bought UMNO’s ridiculous argument, and returned the welfare money to Penang government, let all Malays in Malaysia return all welfare given to them by the government all these years. Don’t be hypocrites accusing the opposition’s welfare as ‘haram’ when UMNO itself has no reservations using tax ‘haram’ all these decades.
