One of my client has been complaining about their website’s downtime which seems to happen quite often lately. Their company website went online about 3 years ago. My partner helped with setting it up and put it on a shared hosting. The first two years saw traffic grew at a steady and linear rate. Well within the limits of the initial shared hosting plan. But in 2010, web traffic more than tripled within a year. And judging by the growth forecast, I am proposing they upgrade to a dedicated or managed hosting. The website has definitely outgrown shared hosting options and it’s best to upgrade to a web hosting plan with plenty of room to grow.
