Take it easy on the tennis courts

by Stanley, March 30, 2011

I just came home from the hospital after spending two hours there. One of my tennis buddies injured his ankle really bad at the courts today. 15 minutes into our first set of tennis, it happened. He chased after a wide crosscourt and appeared to simply tripped. Fell to the ground and shouted in agony. His partner said he completely rolled over his ankle and trust me, this is one of the most painful injury you get in tennis. I didn’t see it and frankly, thank god I didn’t see it. If you’ve watched tennis pros rolling their ankles badly on TV, you’ll know it is a very disturbing. He will be in an aircast air stirrup ankle brace and using a crutch to aid rehabillitation for the next few weeks. And definitely won’t be back on the courts for at least 3 months. Maybe longer I won’t be surprised.

I often get asked to suggest a good fat burner supplement in the gym. And I’ve given lots of suggestions on some of the best fat burners money can buy. One thing I noticed after years of working out in the gym and the adjoining track and field, the quitters share a common trait. They [...]

It’s the school holidays and my daughter has been spending most of her time at home. Watching TV and playing games on the iPad. We decided she needs a bit of outdoor quality time so we brought her along a hill-trekking trip which I’ve been wanting to participate for quite some time. We dusted our [...]

Company’s warehouse break in

March 12, 2011
My uncle’s company was broken into last night and the thieves stole hundreds of thousands worth of mobile tele-communication devices before the police reach the warehouse. The remote security surveillance cameras were all smashed but managed to catch a clear enough glimpse of two of the three culprits. As of now, the police is now [...]

I bought the iPad

March 12, 2011
I bought the iPad last week a couple of days after the price cut. RM400 discount is just too tempting and the model I bought is 16GB WiFi, no 3G. The lowest model in the range will be my first step into Apple world. My daughter warmed up to it in no time. She enjoys the [...]
