Never under estimate the need for safety equipment when working with power tools. My dad understood this all too well as he suffered an eye injury a few years ago while working with a power drill at home. It took a few visits to the eye specialists and months to heal. He was fortunate he was not blinded by the accident. Since then he always wear his bifocal safety glasses for DIY works around the house. No matter how small or insignificant the task may be coz accidents pop up when you least expect it.
