• Birthday invitations

I rarely receive birthday invitations these days. Most of my mates are either too busy with their lives or living too far from each other. So partying or gatherings are few and far apart. God, how I miss those carefree days. Now all we do to acknowledge and wish our friends happy birthday are phone calls, SMSes, instant messaging, Skype or simply write on their Facebook wall. Frankly, I’m embarassed to say I do that too, even to some of my best school mate buddies. The only birthdays I celebrate now are my wife, kids, parents and sometimes siblings. They are the people I make time for. With a toddler and a 4yo girl keeping my wife and I busy 24/7, we have literally no time for anything. That’s not going to change in the next few years.
