Stiches on my gums removed

by Stanley, September 20, 2011

I just came home from my dentist after having my stiches removed. I had my impacted wisdom tooth extracted about 10 days ago.

I was expecting my gums, which was cut during dental surgery, to be swollen and painful during the healing process. So much so, I would have trouble eating.

But to my pleasant surprise, there wasn’t much pain at all. Sure the first two to three days, I was on a soft diet. I had no trouble chewing with my teeth on the opposite side. My dentist gave me painkillers but I didn’t need them.

The bleeding didn’t stop until the 2nd day. On the 3rd day, I couldn’t see any traces of blood in my saliva anymore.
