“I come from a family where my father helped build the party, and I am not the son to destroy the party. I want to continue to build the party further,” said Najib Razak.
Yeah right! Loyal UMNO member my ass! No matter how he slices it, what I’m hearing is the intention to wait for his turn instead of fighting for it. Why do it the hard way when the cards are already stacked in your favor. As promised many times by Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Najib will be the heir to the PM’s throne when he steps down. God knows when that’ll happen. Imagine yourself in Najib’s shoes, who in the right frame of mind wants to challenge this natural transition? Why should he betray Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, move to rival factions within UMNO and risk his chance of taking over the PM? Call him coward, Badawi’s lapdog or what you like, Najib is one to play it safe. He’s just being a smart coward that’s all.
