Scrap Malaysia parliament live-telecast? Hell no!

by admin, May 1, 2008

IMO, Ahmad Shabbery Cheek’s threatening to cancel parliament live-telecast is denying my rights, as a Malaysia citizen, to view parliament proceedings. It is I who pay their taxes so what right do they have cancel it. It is my right to watch and hear what goes on the parliament, the place where decisions are made on handling the tax monies I pay every year. It is my right to watch a live-telecast of the ENTIRE duration of parliament sitting, instead of just 30 minutes.

Yes, I’m somewhat disappointed with the name-calling, insults and petty arguments. But for Ahmad Shabbery Cheek to use these lame reasons to reconsider continuing the live-telecast is really making me mad. Just leave it to public scrutiny to judge for themselves. Barisan Nasional has no rights to deny it. The show MUST go on!

Umno Youth chief Hishammuddin Hussein’s keris issue apology insincere!

April 26, 2008
Umno Youth chief Hishammuddin Hussein is NOT apologizing as he shows no regrets over his keris-waving gesture at UMNO General Assembly 3 years ago. Is the keris issue one of the main reasons why Barisan Nasional lost the 12the General Election on 8 March 2008? I’m not sure. Corruption scandals, government expenditure excesses, corrupted judiciary, human [...]

Sept 16 2008 - deadline for Pakatan Rakyat takeover?

April 23, 2008
I’m not kidding when I say I don’t know what significance September 16 represents for Malaysia; it’s Malaysia Day! I failed history, so sue me. Why the mention of Sept 16? Anwar said Pakatan Rakyat will become government by Malaysia Day. For the love of god, I really hope what Pakatan Rakyat says is true. Can [...]

Kah Choon did the right thing

April 23, 2008
Lee Kah Choon quit Gerakan has to be commended for it is a brave move. He was obviously challenged by Gerakan and Barisan Nasional to either quit his new post or quit Gerakan. And quit Gerakan he did! *Applause* Lim Guan Eng and co. has big plans for Penang. If Lee Kah Choon’s contribution is sincere, [...]

ACA independent and transparent? I’m not buying

April 21, 2008
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi promised so many things back in 2004 and slept on it. Took a political tsunami of March 08 2008 to remind him of those promises. But why am I not buying it still? When Abdullah Ahmad Badawi announced that the ACA will undergo major reforms to make it more transparent and independent, I [...]

Pidato by Five Menteri Besar from Pakatan Rakyat in Stadium Perak on April 14

Pidato by Five Menteri Besar from Pakatan Rakyat in Stadium Perak on April 14
It’s the sort of crowd pulled in by big events in quiet Ipoh; football finales, Jom Heboh events etc. I’m guessing from the capacity of Stadium Perak of 30,000 when the stands are fully packed, we can easily assume MORE than 30,000 people attended the speech by 5 Pakatan Rakyat Menteri Besars on this memorable [...]

UMNO Youth members must blog

April 13, 2008
UMNO Youth members were told by the government to start blogging as one of the pre-requisite of joining the party. Barisan Nasional admits that bloggers in cyberspace and alternative media played a big part in their crushing defeat at the 12th General Election. The people of Malaysia had no choice because the government owns the [...]
